Upon completion of this career training program, trainees will be able to:

  • Successfully perform 3, 5, and 12 lead electrocardiograms
  • Distinguish deadly heart rhythms in the electrical conduction of the cardiac system

  • Recognize changes on 12-lead EKG due to ischemia, injury, metabolic disorders
  • Define unique characteristics of cardiac system related to anatomy and physiology of the heart
  • Understand causes and treatment modalities for various electrical conduction abnormalities
  • Perform proper patient care and safety
